Chris Black It is with great sadness that we report Chris Black’s passing last Saturday night (July 26th) after a long battle with cancer. For many years Chris was a regular competitor at Grafham Water SC and on the Sprint 15 race circuit. He was always enthusiastic, very accomplished and extremely competitive, a person who loved his sailing. All those who sailed with him will remember him as one of the toughest competitors on the water but also as one of the most pleasant of people off the water. He will be sadly missed by all his old friends in the Sprint 15 fleet. We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife and family. Chris’s funeral will be held on Wednesday August 13th at 1.45 pm at Norse Road Crematorium, Bedford. Afterwards everyone will be welcome at the Swan Hotel on the Embankment. |    |
