Wetsuit boots

Post by Corky the Cat »

Has anybody recently upgraded their wetsuit boots to a newer pair?

Mine were Gul. I was entirely happy with them until they gave up. So I bought the latest boots of the same brand.

Unfortunately, the soles of the new pair are ludicrously thin, meaning that I feel every pebble on the beach. Friends tell me to insert an insole into each boot. In other words, the latest boots from Gul need to be modified.

Clearly Gul is not fit for purpose. Do fellow Sprinters have any recommendations before I splash out for another pair?

Hi, I bought a pair from Rooster Sailing at the Dinghy Show. They were "All purpose Boots " and have got a decent ribbed sole ( You need a really good grip going up and down the wooden ramp at Bognor). It looks like the prod code no is 132555

So far Ive been really pleased with them.

Thank you, Keith. That is very helpful. The Rooster soles seem more substantial which is what I am looking for.
