East Coast Piers Race - 6/7 July - Marconi

Hi All
If you like to try something different - the East Coast Piers Race is an excellent long distance race, social weekend and charity fundraiser all in one.
Taking place at Marconi on 6th and 7th July - there is an inshore series on the Saturday afternoon and race day on Sunday. The Sprints sail the Colne Point Race which is around 27 miles long and historically we have posted strong results.
Online entry is now open - with a £30 discount for entries online before midnight Wednesday 3rd July. You can enter online by following the link from http://www.eastcoastpiersrace.com/
Please note the specific safety equipment you are required to carry - all listed on the website.
Free Camping Fri, Sat and Sun nights - food served Sat/Sun and live music on Saturday night. Proceeds from the event - and beer donated generously by Might Oak and Adnams - raise funds for the Cirdan Trust and Essex Air Ambulance.
If you bring your Fast Cat friends with - they have the option to sail the full course to Walton Pier and back (50 miles). Any half boats from an RS200 or faster can sail the Bradwell race (13 miles). Any boat PY 980 or faster can do the Colne Point Race.
