It is the rescheduled Grafham Cat Open on 17-18 March. It is not a Sprint 15 Traveller event as we held our Inland Championships at Graham in October.

Sprint 15s however can take part in the Medium handicap start at the Cat Open and will race on a trapezoidal course. For those travellers that are interested in doing this they can leave their boats at Grafham the following week to be ready for the Grafham Icicle Winter traveller event the following weekend (25 March). If you are interested in doing this you can save £5 by entering for the Cat Open before noon Thursday 15 March.
Full details can be found at:

Bob

PS the Notice of Race for the Winter Traveller on 25 March can be found at the same location

The Club has decided to cancel the Cat Open on 17-18 March as the weather forecast seems to be getting worse and has posted the following message:

Over the last few days we have been monitoring the weather forecasts for this coming weekend. The latest forecasts for both days are showing very high winds, low temperatures, a warning of snow and if anything show a worsening trend. Against this background, we have reluctantly taken the decision to cancel this weekend’s CAT Open. Competitors who have already entered will be entitled to a full refund.

So, regrettably, the 2017 Grafham CAT Open (this was the rescheduling of the event postponed from last October) is not to happen. A reminder though that the 2018 event is planned for the weekend of 20/21 October when we look forward to seeing you.

Best wishes

John Aston
Commodore

So it seems this event was fated. Let's hope we get better weather for 25 March
Regards
Bob

This winter has been very unkind to us sailors. lets hope we get a good summer of Force 4s and sunshine to make up for it!
