Have been speaking to the Manager at Rutland Water this afternoon. Forecast is for 19 to 37 knots and it will be an onshore breeze. So even if the wind notches down a bit, launching and recovery will be risky and its not possible to find a sheltered part of the lake to set the course. With such a low prognosis of racing going ahead this weekend, it makes sense to find an alternative date.
As such, we will reschedule the Rutland TT to Sunday 26th January.
Same schedule will apply – namely 10am briefing and first race scheduled for 11am, three races back to back.
Everyone who has entered has been advised and will have their entry carried over to the new date.
I trust Storm Darragh leaves you and your boats unscathed this weekend.
