The Association is organising a training day on Thursday 15 August (the day before the Nationals) at Harwich Town Sailing Club. In similar fashion to the event which took place before the Nationals at Weymouth last year, the purpose is to give sailors the opportunity to sharpen up their racing skills and to allay any fears for those who have perhaps not attended a Nationals before.
The session will be delivered by Brian Phipps from Windsport who, as you will know, is an internationally recognised catamaran coach.
Believe me, you can't get better!
The details are as follows:
-Start 1.00 pm sharp with briefing followed by 'on the water' session, followed by debrief/feedback forum with video footage of the session on the water. Session will end at approx. 5.00pm.
-subject matter to be covered will include if possible any requests from attendees.
-a minimum of 6 boats to take part with an upper limit of 10-12.
-cost will be a max. of £25.00 per boat. Note that this amount represents a much subsidised cost and is exceptional value for 4 hours of high class coaching.
