Mast plug repair

Hi,

Our Sprint 15 #2008 has a two piece mast. The top of the grp plug is now loose, as I look at it a foam core has been revealed (I haven't pulled it right off).

Any suggestions for how to repair it? I've been assuming a glue or resin but I don't want to pick a glue or resin that will melt the foam core.

It would be best to ask Brian Phipps this question as he knows the construction and the materials
