Re: 1344

Great to have you onboard Peter, the Sprint 15 nationals are not that far from you this year at Windsport, Mylor Harbour Falmouth. You would be very welcome to join in, we have a wide range of catamaran sailing skills in the fleet. If not take some time out and come down and meet a few or us. Brian P

Re: A philosophical question

Hi, Mark is spot on with his comments however, if you do need some paperwork which could be required if taking your boat abroad you can order a replacement owners certificate from the current manufacture Windsport. They will need the following pictures, your boat with sails up, hull numbers, sail nu...

Sprint 15 National Championships 2022 accomodation

Hi , I am sure a fair number of the Sprint 15 fleet will be camping or motor-homing on site during the event. But if you are looking for a very delightful house to rent down on the creek and within 5mins walk of the boat park you may want to check out "Hoopers Hill House" www.hoopershill.c...

Windsport catparts supply a suitable trolley covering and a suitable adhesive via the online catparts shop if that helps.

How we delivered new boats in the old days

Load them up on the trailer and when that was full stick them on the roof of the car! that was in the early 80's but I guess things are not that different now, the old Cortina estate has gone and the Ford van has taken over. It would be great to get back to new boat deliveries of this size now we ar...

Re: Club Course Preferences

Just a added note , the triangle course section needs to edge towards a 90deg wing mark from the windward or leeward mark ( depending on wind strength) rather than a equilateral triangle which is likely only to deliver 2 x long downwind legs for a boat that tacks down wind.

Re: Club Course Preferences

The Sprint 15 and the Dart 18 were designed for all points of sailing including reaching which is the most fun! The old Olympic courses of triangles and sausages was a great compromise, something The Restronquet SC continue to use.

Re: Hello from Spain, and question about mast ball and heel

the s/s plate sits on the top of a round s/s insert located in the top of the mast ball. the insert normally sits approx 1mm above the surface of the mast ball see picture of item 21005.

Re: Dry suit repair

Using a puncture repair kit can certainly work on nicks etc but if the material has perished in the area you could be chasing your tail. Either way when storing drysuits seals need a good covering of talcum powder on inside and out to stop the rubber sweating.
Hope that helps
