I have noticed that some of the ring fittings are not straight. You could try removing the rope and put it in the ring the other way round as a first trial.

Forecast is F4-5 S/SW with possible F6 gusts later on Saturday. Possibly dropping and becoming variable on Sunday.

For SSC this should mean flat water with our normal cross offshore winds - fun time !
