This is sad news & Joe was indeed a lovely fella. Had a few pints with him @ NDYC over the years.

I'd dare to say he had a long & interesting life all of us would be more than pleased with.

Hello Mark. You could disassemble it and go get it TIG welded which is probably a wise move. Failing that it's a new lower mast section, but I'm presuming it's a 2 piece mast? Failing that, leave it & when it fails claim on your insurance & get a 1 piece mast as an upgrade which is miles bet...

It was a challenge Bob & Team Denchfield did really well to get us 4 races on the Sunday as Saturday was a non starter.

Racing I found really hard work and race 3 showed how you can get every decision wrong for me!!

I sat this one out to sail the GWSC championship event and was hoping for F5+.. I managed to win one of the 3 races when the wind picked up albeit temporarily.

Sounds like I missed a good event & hopefully more F5 @ Grafham in October.

I'll be a no show due to the date clashing with GWSC Club Championships.
