Winter Series 2018 - 2019 Report

Paul Grattage retained the Sprint 15 Winter Traveller Trophy for the fourth consecutive year in a winter series in which (contrary to last year) all events and all races were sailed. Five events were run at Stewartby, Draycote, Thorpe Bay Rutland and Grafham and winds we generally good to strong with the exception of Rutland where winds were very light and fluky and it was amazing the Club managed  to run all 3 races. Winds were strongest at Grafham where a force 4-6 westerly was the residue of storm Gareth. A 35 knot squall in the last race really tested the fleet.

Overall 41 sailors took part in the series but Grattage won it easily with an event to spare. Jenny Ball of Marconi was runner up and Stuart Snell was third. See below for the other places.

The Summer Traveller Series has already started at Marconi on 6/7 April. The next event is at the Isle of Sheppey on 18/19 May.
