CAMPING IN THE COUNTRY PARK

It is important to pre-book your site in the Country Park through the Visitor Centre.
Please use the right-hand side of the park - beside the hedge that runs parallel with the road.
With effect from 26 March 2006 the main gate will open at 0700 hours and close at 2000 hours.
If you are outside the gate when it closes, there is no vehicular access until it opens again in the morning! Please do not knock at the adjoining houses - they can’t help.
The fee for camping is £3.50 per unit per night and must be pre-booked with the Rangers/Visitor Centre.

General Club Information:

Draycote Water is the Midland's premier sailing venue offering excellent sailing on 650 acres of water. The reservoir is open for sailing every day of the year except Christmas Day, with full safety cover. Large Car and Boat Parks are available. Pontoons, slipways, and launch areas are serviced from tarmac roads. The lake is bounded by a 5 mile long perimeter road which is great for walking, jogging, cycling and skate boarding.

We have over 15 Sprint 15s at the club, and a number of us regularly race on Sundays throughout the year and Wednesday evenings during the summer.  We annually host the Winter TT event in January and we take part in the winter TT series and both the Sport and Sprint Nationals.  Our fleet captain is Bill Hurr and Ed Tuite Dalton is the Sprint Northern Rep.

The well equipped clubhouse provides large changing rooms with hot showers, a newly refurbished café and a lounge bar, with panoramic views over the water and surrounding countryside. A warm welcome awaits you from the staff and members. A full range of food and drink are available in the café and the upstairs licensed bar.

For further details contact the Sprint 15 fleet captain Bill Hurr 07968447792 or Ed Tuite Dalton on 07887 530267.
