Committee News - AGM vote

Dear Sprint 15 members

At the recent AGM held at the Thorpe Bay Nationals I would like to share with you the results of the AGM.

  1. Adoption of 110kg minimum weight - not carried 11 votes for, 31 against, 3 abstain, 3 did not vote
  2. Remove reference to Sprint 15 international rules committee - carried, 42 votes for, 0 against, 2 abstain, 2 did not vote
  3. Remove requirement for unanimous decisions in committee meetings - carried, 30 votes for, 5 against, 4 abstain, 7 did not vote 
  4. Modification of constitution item 14 with respect to appeals as we do not have a Sprint 15 international rules committee - carried, 42 votes for, 0 against, 3 abstain, 1 did not vote
  5. To define who can deputise for the Chairman at committee meetings - carried, 40 votes for, 0 against, 4 abstain, 2 did not vote.
  6. To allow the events secretary more flexibility on the national championships format - carried, 41 votes for, 0 against, 3 abstain, 2 did not vote
  7. Remove update process for measurement certificates - carried, 29 votes for, 8 against, 5 abstain, 4 did not vote
  8. Remove references to associate members - withdrawn
  9. Allow optional alternative fixing for burgee - carried, 42 votes for, 1 against, 1 abstain, 1 did not vote
  10. Adoption of 104kg minimum weight - withdrawn
  11. To accept that boats built by Windsport or their authorised manufacturer are class legal and to agree a specification for future build quality checks. carried, 38 votes for, 5 against, 3 abstain, 4 did not vote
